Careers at GPT MAPS

Put your automotive knowledge to work.

Modern vehicles depend on more than mechanical repairs. They depend on properly programmed modules, accurate procedures, and people who understand vehicle electronics.

GPT MAPS provides on-site and remote automotive programming services, along with replacement module sales, for repair shops and other automotive businesses. We welcome interest from people who take pride in their technical work and know how to earn a customer’s trust.

The Work We Do

Our work includes vehicle module programming and setup, OEM software updates, key programming, and helping shops navigate the programming side of a repair.

For a mobile programming specialist, the role combines technical work with responsibility in the field: traveling to customer locations, following vehicle-specific procedures, documenting results, and explaining the next step clearly to the shop.

Your technical ability matters. So does how you handle an appointment when the job gets complicated.

What We Look For

  • Automotive knowledge: A foundation in vehicle systems, diagnostics, or automotive electronics, with the willingness to keep learning.

  • Careful problem-solving: Research the procedure, verify the setup, and ask for help when needed. Guessing is not a substitute for a process.

  • Ownership: Arrive prepared, manage your time, protect equipment, and follow through on commitments.

  • Clear communication: Explain findings honestly, treat shop staff with respect, and keep customers informed.

  • Comfort with technology: Work confidently with laptops, diagnostic equipment, and manufacturer software.

  • Professionalism: Represent GPT MAPS well at every customer location.

For positions involving travel, dependable driving and the ability to serve the assigned territory are important. Specific qualifications will be outlined for each opening.

Is This the Right Fit for You?

You enjoy figuring out how vehicle systems work. You can stay organized while working independently. You understand that a shop is counting on you to help move a repair forward.

We value people who can explain what they know, recognize what they still need to learn, and take responsibility for the quality of their work.

Interested in Future Opportunities?

We welcome expressions of interest for future opportunities. This page does not advertise a specific vacancy.

If your background includes automotive programming, diagnostics, technical support, or module sales, tell us about your experience and where you would like to work. When a suitable position becomes available, we can review your information against the role’s requirements.
