Professional Tuning Without the Travel
When the mechanical work is complete but the calibration still needs attention, the RTD Gen 3 allows the vehicle to remain at your location.

Transmission shops, repair facilities, performance shops, and vehicle owners can connect directly with GPT Maps for supported remote tuning services. You do not need to build tunes yourself or purchase full tuning software.

GPT Maps creates the calibration. The RTD provides the connection needed to read, receive, and flash it.
What Does the RTD Gen 3 Do?
Read the Existing Calibration
Connect the RTD to the vehicle and use the HP Tuners TDN app to read supported controllers. The read file can then be sent directly to GPT Maps for review.
Receive Professional Tune Files
After GPT Maps completes the requested calibration, the finished tune file is delivered through the TDN network.
Use the RTD and TDN app to license the supported controller and write the completed tune file to the vehicle.
Record and Send Data Logs
When additional information is needed, the RTD can collect vehicle data and send the log to GPT Maps for review. RTD Gen 3 is also compatible with VCM Scanner for more advanced data logging.
Protect the Calibration
RTD Gen 3 does not provide access to VCM Editor. Customers can read and flash supported files without opening, viewing, or changing the calibration created by the tuner.

Our 6L80 and 6L90 tuning services are designed for supported GM transmission rebuilds, replacements, swaps, and performance applications.

How Remote Tuning Works

Confirm Vehicle Compatibility
Send GPT Maps the year, make, model, VIN, engine, transmission, modifications, and requested tuning service. We will verify support before beginning the process.

Purchase the RTD Gen 3
The RTD Gen 3 device is $279. This purchase covers the device only. Tuning services and required HP Tuners credits are additional.

Download the TDN App
Install the HP Tuners Tune Delivery Network app on a compatible phone or tablet. Create your account and use the invitation provided by GPT Maps to join our tuning network.

Read and Submit the Vehicle File
Connect the RTD to the vehicle, follow the instructions in the TDN app, and send the original read file to GPT Maps.

Purchase the Tune and Required Credits
GPT Maps will confirm the tuning price and number of HP Tuners credits required for the vehicle and controllers being tuned.

Receive and Flash the Tune
Once the calibration is complete, it will be sent through TDN. Use the RTD and app to license the controller and flash the completed file.

Send a Data Log if Requested
Some applications may require a data log or additional information before the tune can be completed or revised.

Important Information
The RTD Gen 3 is a tool for reading, receiving, data logging, and flashing supported vehicle calibrations. It does not include VCM Editor and does not allow the customer to create or modify tune files.

Purchasing the device does not guarantee that every vehicle, controller, or requested modification is supported. Always confirm compatibility with GPT Maps before ordering tuning services or HP Tuners credits.

Remote tuning cannot repair mechanical failures, wiring problems, communication faults, damaged controllers, or internal transmission problems. The vehicle must be properly diagnosed and mechanically sound before tuning.
