Ford 6R Trans Drive Learn

A drive procedure will be required to allow the module to learn adaptive transmission pressure control and ensure optimal shift quality. Please do the following actions:

1. With the engine running and brakes applied, move the shift lever in the following order pausing between each position for 4 seconds. Start in neutral, N-R-N-D-R-D-N. Repeat this pattern two times. If any individual engagement has a poor feel (harsh or soft) repeat this procedure

2. Accelerate vehicle at moderate throttle so each shift occur around 2000 RPM on the tachometer up

to 50 MPH/80 KPH. Brake moderately to a stop. Repeat this pattern two times

1. Accelerate vehicle at moderate throttle so each shift occur around 3000 RPM on the tachometer up to 50 MPH/80 KPH. Brake moderately to a stop. Repeat this pattern two times

2. With the engine running and brakes applied, move the shift lever in the following order pausing between each position for 4 seconds. Start in neutral, N-R-N-D-R-D-N. Repeat this pattern two times. If any individual engagement has a poor feel (harsh or soft) repeat this procedure
